The problem
Most uptime tools are either too basic — a ping every few minutes with no real context — or built for enterprise teams, with pricing and setup to match. Indie developers and small teams need something in between: real monitoring and real alerts, without a sales call to get started.
The Solution
Paste a URL and ReadPulse works out the check method on its own. It watches uptime and response time around the clock, tracks P50/P95/P99 latency over any window, and alerts the moment something breaks or slows down — through Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, PagerDuty, a webhook, or email.
Key decisions
A free tier with no credit card, so trying it out has zero friction. Latency percentiles instead of a single average, since one slow request often hides inside an average that still looks healthy. Public, branded status pages, so any monitor can double as a customer-facing page with no extra setup.
AI-assisted workflow
Built with Claude and Cursor throughout — from the checking and alerting pipeline to the status page rendering — with every suggestion reviewed and adjusted by hand before shipping.
